Being Seen In All The Right Places And Some Not So Right!I love the winter, don't you? Tons of gorgeous parties of all kinds where I can wear my latest acquisition in a winter party dress and strut my stuff. Of course, he is like most men and only likes the parties where there's some new vixen that he can chat up all night. But I have my ways of putting a stop to that without sacrificing my own good time. Even when there's no party to go to and that's rare, I can go clubbing and dance my head off all night and then I need some very short, sexy dance party dress to make the evening a real success. And, of course I always need the right pair of high heels to go with any dress to complete the ensemble. Apart from my favorite parties at friends, at restaurants, at clubs there are those affairs where I have to get terribly serious and proper and find a long party dress or a formal party dress to play the corporate ladder game and stick to office protocol about standing and dress code. Yuck! I usually get in to trouble and break the rules by turning up in a gorgeous but racy formal gown and saying something innocuous that turns out to be an absolute no-no to the managing director's wife. Oh dear! What a shame - you can't take me anywhere!
Apart from the holiday season there are also special occasions especially weddings to cover. The wedding guest gown is a difficult choice and I take some time with that. Everybody's there and everybody talks. Three extra pounds and they'll say you'e pregnant again and when you're not they say there's probably something terribly wrong with your marriage. What else can I say about women's party dresses that you don't already know? I suppose one of the most important things is where to find the best ones and how I select the stuff that will knock 'em dead. Well, I do a huge amount of my pre selection online. I know the favorite sources like Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Bloomingdale's, Sak's Fifth Avenue. I have a few little boutiquey places like I keep up my sleeve, but if you're nice I may tell you one or two of my favorites! Without bragging, I guess it's fair to say that I have the "eye" for a smash hit of a party dress. If you don't and let's face it some people just don't, find a good friend like me who does and take her along for the final selection. And take her advice for heaven's sake. She knows you and steers you right, doesn't she? If not dump her and get one that does. One last piece of advice before we go further. Be yourself and know what you like. Don't be afraid to lead the pack. Especially in the category of party dress. Be daring - it's a lot of fun. Make sure you know where your spending limits are and don't break them too often otherwise you're asking for a stormy time at home. Well it's the holiday season. What are we waiting for - let's go get some party dresses that will have 'em talking for weeks. By which time we'll have bought some more! Come on - what are you waiting for? |
