Christmas parties are really special aren't they?  Lovely mix of family, friends, traditional and contemporary. You know what though, they're a little tricky as to how to pick a party dress that's going to cover all the bases and not look out of place at the one or over the top at another or, even, heaven forbid, kind of boring. Yes, that's the danger of trying to be all things to all people, isn't it?  So let's look around at all our favorite places and see if we can spot a couple of really super Christmas Party Dresses.  Guess I'll have to take a chance and be my usual somewhat wacky self.  Whatever will Aunt Millie say?

This one might look really good on Christmas afternoon/early evening on you.  See what you think.  It's at Nordstrom (where else?) This one is a gorgeous swinging party dress from ABS by Allen Schwartz. It's an Illusion Yoke Sequin Shift Dress

OK moving on. Let's try Sak's Fifth Avenue. Oh yes, you're going to love this one. A Diane Von Furstenberg Silk Boatneck Dress, Nightsky design in black silk. It's Sak's item # 0475515695025 . Priced to sell at $365.  I'm headed for Sak's right now and try this one on!

Another by Saks is this one from a favorite - Juicy Couture. Its a One Shoulder Dress in Black Silk.  Very sexy indeed! gathered Waist. Puff shoulder, Lace printed Silk. About 37" from shoulder to hem You'll love it. Sak's Item # 0476201987059. Price is $278 which is darn good for this one.
