Women's Formal DressesOK, OK I'm not going to bitch any more about formals. Let's see what women's formal dresses there are that might send a shock wave or two through the neighborhood. Or perhaps you've got a few very special do's coming that you want to look regal , imperious, or just plain terrific. If they're used to you in minis like me perhaps it's time to try some of the things that "they" wear and beat them at their own game! No Darling, I'm not very nice! Off we go then and take a gander at what's out there right now. The stores should have plenty of inventory. It's just that most of them don't know how to show and sell it. Duh! What shall we look for first. Well "he" announces last week that we have an important office dinner/dance next week. Ye gods, man how about a little reasonable warning? Now I've got to reshuffle the date book yet again. Oh well! Anyway, I was just looking at designer formals at Nordstrom's and I'll look some more and see if anything looks like it might work.
Ho! Ho! Ho! This one might do the job. Just a little risky but flaunt 'em, right? Mary L Couture Jersey Gown with Brooch, Crisscrossed cutaway bodice culminates in an attached rhinestone brooch above a single-slit skirt. They say the bodice is padded (sorry, don't need it. Will check in the store!) Shoulder straps connect to a single elasticized strap at open back. Nordstrom item # 176785. Price $188. they say it's "rose". I say bright scarlet! This one should get lots of eye contact, bosom, back and thigh. Suitable? Or nuts? Much will depend on what it looks like on when I go to the store. It may be a winner or a loser.
